Awards Season
Award season is underway as we celebrate 2022-2023 achievements from across the province! At BC Long Track Championships Jack Hanson took home the Randy Sulyma 5000m Open Award and the Fort St. John Recreational Speed Skating Club was awarded the Neil Dyer Memorial Shield! There are many more awards to be won for this season, including:
- Coach of the Year
- Ritha Johnson Official of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
Nominations must be received by February 20. Awards will be presented at the BC Short Track Championships.
Students, sharpen your pencils (laptops), the annual Skater Bursary is also open for submissions! There are two $500 bursaries to be used towards post-secondary education. Nominations to be submitted by May 10.
