BC speed skaters were in action at two major events this past weekend: the 24th Masters International All Round Speed Skating Championships (Calgary) and the Canadian Age Class Long Track Championship (Saskatoon). BC medal winners include:
- Kim Reid- one silver, three bronze at the Masters All Round
- Diane Silzer- four bronze at the Masters All Round
- Peter Blokker- four bronze at the Masters All Round
- Martina Antifay- four gold at the CACLT
- Yuna Lovell- three gold at the CACLT
- Laura Hall- two bronze at the CACLT
- Erik Orlowsky- one gold, one silver at the CACLT
- Joshua Telizyn- one gold at the CACLT
- Sara McBride- one silver at the CACLT
- Matthew Ebert- one silver, two bronze at the CACLT
- Girls relay team- silver at the CACLT.
