A recent study of B.C. youth indicated that gay, lesbian, and bisexual teens are half as likely to play sports as straight teens.

Speed Skating BC is committed to creating an inclusive, safe and welcoming spaces for all British Columbians to participate in speed skating regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.  We will work to help coaches, parents, athletes and volunteers understand how to create inclusive spaces for individuals that identify with the LGBTQI2S community.
